Ropapa Mensah scores Nashville SC’s first goal
Ropapa Mensah will go down in the history books for Nashville.
Mensah scored the first goal for Nashville SC in the 64th minute in Nashville SC’s first game against Atlanta United SC on Saturday at First Tennessee State Park.
Mensah chipped the Atlanta goalkeeper Alec Kann after a pass from Alan Winn.
“I am happy because out of the whole Nashville SC team, I am the one who scored,” Mensah said.
“We are so proud to have so many supporters behind the team.”
Mensah who is Ghanaian is on loan from Inter Allies in Ghana.
He is the youngest player on the Nashville SC roster at age 20.
He scored seven goals and provided two assists in 2017 for Harrisburg City Islanders.
It turned out to be Nashville’s lone goal in in a 3-1 victory by Atlanta.
