Nathaniel Asamoah nets in Banants win
Ghanaian striker Nathaniel Asamoah was target for FC Banants in the Armenian Premier League.
Before the match, Banants had gone four matches without a win, recording three defeats and a draw to the start of the season.
However, they had their breakthrough win on Saturday afternoon at the Banants Stadion in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan.
They defeated FC Ararat 4-2 in the match day five encounter.
Nathaniel Asamaoh broke the deadlock in the 11th minute for the visitors before Vahagn Ayvazyan bagged a brace before half time.
Andranik Kocharyan reduced the deficit for the hosts six minutes after recess but Edward Kpodo restored their three-goal lead eight minutes after the hour mark.
Hambardzumyan reduced the deficit to two goals in the 80th minute but the hosts failed to addbto the tally and the Banants went away with the maximum points.
