Isaac Twum and Evans Mensah shine on Ghana U23 duty
Isaac Twum and Evans Mensah played key roles for the Ghana Olympic team in their U23 African Cup of Nations Qualifier.
The first leg encounter of the preliminary stage was played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi where Ghana defeated Togo 5-1.
Isaac Twum, captain of the side featured the entire duration for the Black Meteors controlling the heart of the team’s midfield.
Evans Mensah was also handed a starting role by the head coach Ibrahim Tanko but the HJK Helsinki forward only played the first half.
The Black Meteors have placed themselves in a good position to qualify to the next stage with this victory ahead of the second leg tie which will be played in Lomé, Togo on Saturday, 22nd December.
The winner of the two legged tie will face Gabon in March next year for a place in the final stage in June.
