Aidoo feeling refreshed after training camp in Spain
Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo reveals he’s feeling refreshed and raring to go hard for Genk this year after a week’s winter training camp in Benidorm, Spain.
Aidoo who’s one of the crucial players for Philippe Clement, was part of 31-players for the exercise which ran between January 5 and 12, 2019.
The former Ghana under 20 defender said that, the Club’s training program has helped him especially the two trainings per day.
“I feel refreshed after our time in Spain, I’m renewed and want to do more for Genk this year.”
“It was tough but everything went on well as planned with a lot of hard trainings and exercises.”
“We had perfect opportunities for team bonding and also had team building time where we played paintball shootings.”
Genk played two friendly matches winning against German side Fortuna Sittard 1-0 and drawing 2-2 with Schalke 04.
Aidoo stellar defensive displays and a goal in 21 matches helped Genk to end the first half of the season as winter champions with 48 points from 21 matches.
They have also progressed from the Group stage to the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League where they face Czech side Slavia Prague.
