Joseph Aidoo earns debut Black Stars call-up
Coach Kwesi Appiah has invited Belgium-based defender Joseph Aidoo for Ghana’s final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The former Inter Allies captain received his first call-up to the senior national team having represented the Ghana U20 side at the World Cup where he acted as the vice skipper for the side.
Aidoo has been undoubtedly one of Ghana’s standout performers in Europe for the past two seasons.
He has capped his incredible output with an invitation to the National team.
The center-back, who was named among the best players in the Europa League group stage after excelling with his Club Genk has been one of the favorites for most Ghanaian football followers.
He joins Nicholas Opoku, John Boye and Kassim Nuhu as the four center-backs invited for the match.
The Black Stars host the Harambee stars on March 23 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
