Came of the bench at the start of the second with a fantastic performance to inspire Ghana U23 fight back against Algeria.

Twum was left out of the starting and the Meteors trailed 1-0 at half time, he was brought on for Joseph Paintsil at half time.

The midfielder sat in front of the defenders and covered their backs and also pushed his team forward with fine accurate forward passes.

His ball distribution opened the Algeria’s team and forced the team to win another penalty after Yaw Yeboah had missed one in the first half.

Dauda Mohammed converted calmly to leave a glimmer of hope for Meteors as they hope to do better in the second leg.

Algeria will host Ghana in the return leg on Tuesday and the winner of the two-legged will qualify for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
