Evans Mensah hits brace in HJK Helsinki emphatic 3-0 win over Mariehamn:
Ghanaian winger Evans Mensah struck twice for HJK Helsinki as they beat IF Mariehamn 3-0 in the Finnish Viekkausliiga Championship.
The brace was his sixth goal of the season after making 17 appearances.
After a nil-nil stalemate in the first half, Evans managed to grab the opener nine minutes into the second half.
The former U-20 player was out through by Petteri Forsell following a defensive blunder – leaving him in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.
He, however, kept his cool, dummied the goalkeeper and slotted the ball in to score the first goal of the game.
The 21-year-old once again fed on Petteri’s cut-in pass on the 68th minute after managing to control the ball with his left foot and fired in a low shot to increase their tally.
To finish off what could be described as an impressive night for William, Colombian William Para elected himself to score the third and final goal as Helsinki won 3-0.
