Afeez Aremu joins St Pauli in Germany
Afeez Aremu joins St Pauli in Germany:
Nigerian international midfielder Afeez Aremu has completed his switch from Norwegian side IK Start to St Pauli in Germany.
The move was facilitated by collaborations between ProBall Management (Omar El-Eter), Global Soccer Management (Patrick Mork) and Global One (Rene Liebehman).
The former Inter Allies midfielder was scouted by ex-IK Start scout Mick Priest from the UK and former IK Start sports director, Tor Kristian Karlssen.
The midfielder passed his medical on Sunday and signed a three-year on Monday, keeping him with the Bundesliga II side, St Pauli until the summer of 2023.
The 20-year-old Nigerian moved from Ghanaian side Inter Allies FC to Norway at the beginning of 2018, where he played for IK Start in a total of 63 competitive games (5 goals, 1 assist).
In addition, Aremu completed three games for the Nigerian U20 national team and also featured for the Nigeria Super Eagles B team that placed 2nd in the WAFU tournament, in 2017.
I’m proud of you Aremu for this amazing journey in your career, however I’m sorry not to be there with you due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has seen boarders closed in Ghana, but will surely visit in due course.
Congratulations Aremu, wishing you the very best of luck in the German Bundesliga II.
