NORWAY – Isaac Twum scores as Mjøndalen defeat giants SK Brann:
Mjondalen IF tried to give themselves a lifeline with a rare victory – 2-0 – over SK Brann in the Norwegian Eliteserien Saturday.
Playing at home in the match-day 21 fixture, Mjondalen broke the deadlock in the 13th minute through Martin Ovenstad.
Mjondalen never looked back as they went ahead to double their lead with Twum scoring in the 37th minute – his first since arriving from IK Start weeks ago.
The hosts held on to their two-goal lead for the rest of the game.
Isaac Twum’s contribution to the match lasted for 84 minutes before he was substituted for Stian Aasmundsen.
He had received a yellow card in the 66th minute.
Mjondalen IF are currently second from bottom of the 16-team Norwegian topflight league.
They next face leaders Bodo/Glimt on October 25.
