Abdul-Halik Hudu leaves for Lyngby Boldklub
Abdul-Halik Hudu leaves for Lyngby Boldklub:
Abdul-Halik Hudu has left Swedish Hammarby to continue his career in Denmark with Lyngby Boldklub.
Hudu, 21, arrived in Denmark yesterday and signed a 2-year contract with the Royal Blues after completing his medicals.
Talent manager Nicas Kjeldsen, who is part of the sports management of his new Club, welcomes the approach:
“Hudu is a really exciting player with great potential that fits in very well with our way of playing. He is dynamic, technically proficient and can play both 6s and 8s. He fits in well with the squad’s current composition, and he is a player we believe we can develop to the next level in our environment. So we are happy that we have succeeded in landing Hudu, ”says Nicas Kjeldsen, who continues:
“We have taken the next step as a club, and for the first time in two years recruited a player with a non-Scandinavian passport. As a club, we have built on in relation to data screening and scouting since the New Year, and we have brought that into play in this case. This does not mean that our core and identity have changed or that we will do things significantly differently tomorrow. Our base is still Danish-based and with talent development as a top priority, and with a clear path into the first team. But we are taking some steps forward if we can supplement with 1-2 talented foreigners in addition to what we are already doing, and that is exciting for our club, ”says Nicas Kjeldsen.
Shortly after his 18th birthday, Hudu was brought to Swedish football by Hammarby from Inter Allies in his native Ghana. Since then, Hudu has been on loan in IK Frej and Sundsvall, where there have been 49 matches.
Hammarby Manager Jesper Janssons said : “Abdul-Halik Hudu has been with us for three years and really feels like a real hammer villager. Due to the tough competition in the central midfield, we felt that we could not put sticks in the wheel when a club like Lyngby showed interest in him. Hudu is really worth the chance to find the place where he can continue to develop as a football player and we wish him great luck in his further career.
